I wish to form a new unit under the Maethodoron chapter. We are the sons of Hodir. Here is our forum www.hodir.proboards.com I hope you allow this because we will be attending ragnarok this year and hope to be there as a part of the indiana chapter.

as long you have enough fighters and all the other requirements, you dont need any realm's consent to form a unit

True, but you need the realm's consent before saying you are a unit under them. Before deciding that you want to be a Maethodoron unit (or before we agree to it), it would be nice if we met you in person first. Other realms are having this problem, and it is a bit embarassing to have somebody claim to be from your realm when no one here has ever met them. If you show up to a battle in Ohio with no legal garb, ill-padded weapons and be completely ignorant of Dagorhir rules and tell everyone you're from Maethodoron, that reflects poorly on us.
But that being said, units do NOT have to be official. You can get together with a bunch of guys, wear the same surcoat, and call yourselves a unit all you want. The only way you'll catch any flack is if you use the same name as another unit. Check on the national boards for a list of realm and unit names.
Try to make it to one of our practices, like this Sunday. That way, we can get to know you and discuss your options.
BTW, your link is dead.

I fixed the link. It's hard to go to practices BTW when they are an hour away. This Sunday is my birthday so I'm spending time with my family otherwise I would consider it.
PS:How many fighters is the proper number?

Hey, I always say real life is more important, so that's cool. And yes, living an hour away makes it tough to get to practices, but we still can't claim a unit if we don't know the members and never fight with them.
But, we also travel! What area do you live in? We can always come to you! We have people that are an hour north, and an hour and a half south of Indiana, so we do occasionally have to make trips to keep in touch with outlanders.

PS:How many fighters is the proper number? You need at least 5 to be an official unit. Again, you can have two people that choose to fight under the same unit name if you want, it just won't be officially recognized.

Also, I'm not making much sense of your website it has no name or statement of any sort just empty forums. What kind of Unit are you looking at? I see the word Hodir which could be Norse or Warcraft even.
Edit: Wow, I should read better, Sons of Hodir (the name at least) is straight from WoW. I'm pretty sure that I will be your best friend in Maethodoron, I'm the resident WoW nerd. I had previously led the Bloodsail Buccaneers unit which was of course WoW based.

I just started making the forum so its really a rough draft. I have no skill in graphic design so I can't make any logos...My friend said he would work on it but I don't know how long it will take him.
PS: Williamsburg is rather close to where I live

I'm off work and available the 31st so that would probably be the best date.

Not a great date for me unless somebody else was willing to drive from here. I'm talking to my friend from Williamsburg now on MSN and he and a friend of his are interested in getting into Dagorhir so I definitely want to do something -soon- how soon I don't know yet.
