Last year we had the winter INVASION it was certainly lopsided we all know, that was the largest complaint. This year if we are to make sure that the teams are equal do we still want this to be an invasion with a story line? Or do we want it to just be a regular event?
This poll will be open for a while since we have until the publicity stage to get this sorted out.

As some of Maeth's closest friends in Dag is the Urk Kuldar, I still like it to be the Invasion as a contest between the two groups. We really need to keep the balance this year or have Maeth win alot. The orks are back in our stride of only caring if we win if everyone is having fun, no more of the uber serious destruction crap. It wont be hard to toss around a few smaller units to weight the sides as needed. its just fun to invade and at the end of the day, no one gives a damn who won because it was just for the day

It's just called the invasion. The teams can be split up however. We just wanted to finally settle on a good name.

I have mixed emotions about this. the entire "invasion" thing was largely Mog's baby. into which we also subscribed. however, since Mog, as well as others, who hyped it up are gone then should we even continue with the idea? I'm fine with it if we do, but I think we should continue with the original story line. and this time, Maeth is trying wrestle control back from the Orks.

We could scrap the original "invasion" story line all together, ie. pretend it didn't happen, and start with something a little more generalized that also incorporates all members of Maeth instead of a large portion of Maeth and some allies vs. the orks and their allies.
either one is fine with me

Much like Gates of fire or Badon Hill have both become we are just striving to create an event that has a name that people recognize. There doesn't really have to be much correlation between the name and the actions at the event. Many people know it as the "invasion" outside of the realm. It's a matter of creating a name that people know will happen every year.
Rebranding every other year is not a good idea, especially with the lateness of promotion we are going to have this year.

We'll keep it called the invasion either way, I do like the name, just trying to figure out if people want it to be an invasion or just an event called the invasion.

Just Invasion sounds like a wrestling PPV, The Winter Invasion sounds better to me

Alot of people do know it as the Invasion. It makes sense that every year, the side that lost the invasion the last year is now trying to invade the winning side. the Orks invaded last year and we had alot of battles that had Maeth defending. This year we have the orks defend and Maeth attack. problem with that is that even when on defense, the orks are attacking haha
