So, we only had a handful out, but it was really kick-ass fighting! I know I'm just as guilty of it as anybody, but we really should keep things rolling over the summer. We have a lot of new people that want to come out to practices (we had two today who first showed up at Warsong), and it would be nice if we gave them something to actually show up to.

Honestly I don't like showing up and fighting with 4 or 5 people tops. It just isn't fun for me.

Hopefully for next sunday I can convince one or two, or if the stars are really in alignment three or four, others to come out too.
The one that keeps calling himself a midget may need to take some time off because something in his hand has been off for a couple of days and the fighting didn't really help it.

unfortunately because of commuting to school 4 days a week, i can't reasonably ask my parents to drive me up fridays or sundays for practice. i'm willing to trade rides for weapon repairs.

Honestly I don't like showing up and fighting with 4 or 5 people tops. It just isn't fun for me. Usually, it isn't. But we kept it fun. We did our usual zombie, a blue-weapon bear pit, a rez melee and then a three-on-three rez battle. The rez battle was BRUTAL, and that's probably the reason I'm sore as hell today! The newer folk had a few tricks up their sleeves that I wasn't used to, and that helped to keep things interesting. Honestly, the best thing to do in those instances is to actually practice. Fight one-on-one more, and do drills. We didn't yesterday, but when we have Fellowship practices, we do a lot of drills. Once I fought Mirimon with only a flail (no shield) against his red weapon. My hands got sore, but I learned some blocking techniques. |
