Ahh, yeah, mine only used blue foam. Two full layers and the final layer was flanged.

something worth considering: clubs are really easy to make stabbies for. just a layer of couch foam on top with a wrapping of blue foam to keep it in place. few people expect a stabbing club and it comes in handy every so often that makes it worth it. and if you're lucky like me, itlll last a long time. my green on my club has lasted for going on 2 years without need for repair
