We've suggested training, but no one seems to want to do it. People just want to learn from fighting. Which doesn't work.

Practices really aren't practices, we just fight at them, we don't go to practices with the intent to improve. We go to have fun, which is good, but it will stunt your fightings developement... I took medicine and booze, it was an accident, don't judge....

When I used to go down to Bram's for Fellowship practice, we got bored, since there would only be a handful of us, so I would do drills. It really helped, I thought. If we did that more at practice, I might not have gotten bored.

Drills are awesome, I wish we had pels to show people quadrants and what not. But we can always use each other. Yeah, the red class or archer class aren't meant to keep people off the field because their weapon choice is something maybe a few people are afraid or because it is different. It is mainly because a red in the hands of someone who doesn't have some (what some of us would consider) common sense moves or understanding is FAR more dangerous than that of a blue in the hands of someone at the same skill level.
We'd basically be teaching some standard red techniques, pushing people to realize the difference between how to swing at a shield vs. a body and especially forcing into their heads that overhand swings with reds just don't work.
These are things us seasoned vets often tend to forget because we've all be the people doing it and on the receiving end so they are ingrained in our heads, new people, sadly, don't have that experience and like to go all "berserker." That's the full reason.
