FIBERGLASS SWORD CORE

i want to make a new sword, but i really dont even have the money for gas to make a trip to Blairsville. So does anyone have a fiberglass rod core they might want to sell to me? Maybe one that they got and never used or something?

I got a couple. They are 3/8 inch diameter, I'm not sure how long but they are pretty long, from tractor supply. I could bring one out at the next Dag practice I go to. Would that be good?
