The date for the winter event is February 20, 2010
It will held at Blue Spruce again this year:
1128 Blue Spruce Road, Indiana, PA 15701
the entrance fee will be $12, or $10 if you pre register
(to pre reg talk to an admin by February 14th and get him or her the money, they and make sure they get your name down! Send a PM too so we are absolutely sure that you have gotten on the list of pre registered fighters!)
Troll will open at 10 am
We will be having:
Side board
Battles
Feast
silent auction
AAAND A Bardic competition.
One person from each realm will be chosen as a judge for the competition.
Troll opens 10:00
Weapons Check: 10:30
Pick up battles 11:00
Field battles: 11:30
Short break 1:-1:30 ish
Themed battles 1:30 or 2:00 (this is a rough draft)
Feast: 4:30 - 5:00

I'm assuming that since there are only hours listed that this is only one day. therefore, apart from weapons, garb, and money, what should we bring to this here shindig?

you dont need anything else really, usually some people will bring fighting garb and dress garb. Cause after you fight and get all wet some people want to change into something dry. So maybe 2 sets of garb will work out. But other than that, you dont need to bring anything else.

ok, let's pretend we only have one set of garb (cough me cough). Should we try to toss together a second set? Also, are we "allowed" to wear modern shit like coats and carves since february is still rather chilly? Or am I also going to have to invest in some heavy wool for a cloak?

You can wear long sleeves under your garb, or a hoody, especially since it's your first event I believe. You'll probably end up removing layers too. Something I recommend highly: gloves.

We need people who are willing to have guests over to spend the night for this event to get in contact with me. I'm already expecting a full house here between Order of Tauren, House Dregoth, some Kensman and Sword brothers, and a few other people who I specifically invited to the winter event and guilted into coming. (Also my providing them crash space was part of the deal)

I'm sorry but with the four other people I have living with me I'm not able to house strangers. There honestly does exist the possiblity that unknown house guests could get knifed or beaten with a bat.

how are we handling Pre-Reg payment? Just mark them as Pre Regged and they pay $10 at Troll instead of $12? I already have Warthog and Rayne wanting to pre reg

Usually we just charge out of realm members 10 dollars period. We request that they "pre-reg" for free by just getting on a waiting list. It's because weather can be crazy that time of year and I'd hate to see someone spend that money and a storm come and they can't go.
Realm members were the ones that needed to pre-reg before X date. At the door realm members (save those coming from a distance) would pay $12 if they didn't prepay.
And I hate paypal.
