When I get back from work I'm going to get the huge camping check list and make a thread for it by itself we can continue to update it and we won't have to dig for it, thanks for bringing that up.

I suggest bringing your own firewood. Remembering what Brogg, me and my dad had to deal with at Badon......not fun. Sitting around firewood that is burning but not catching fire with lots of soggy cardboard, and a plastic McDonald's tray, trying to make the wood catch.

Are we going to be able to go on Thursday this year? On the Dag site under Events, it just says 23rd-25th. It doesnt say anything about the 22nd. But I may be able to pick up 1 maybe 2 people.

Ok folks, new guy here! I need to know the basics about Gates of Fire. I think I might go, I'm not sure yet but I haven't been able to find any info about this event, as in start time, registration, price, do we stay/sleep there all weekend, what is the order of events, are there any events that I wouldn't be able to participate in due to my newbee status, do I need to be a full fledged member of Maethodoron to come, and stuff like that. If there is a web site that has all this info that would be much better. Also could I have a few contact emails or # of key personal in Maeth? Thanks for the help

Gates of Fire Start Time: Troll (Registration) Starts at 12:00pm on Friday April 23rd Registration: There will be waivers there that you can sign in. And you also need a Photo I.D. when you sign in here too. If you are under 18, you need to print one of these out at home and have it notarized. That usually costs no more than $5.00. You can go here to print out the waiver, its 2 pages. dagorhir.com/dagorhir/Dagorhirwaiver.pdfPrice: its usually $20.00 per person for the event. Due when you sign in at Troll. Sleeping: This is a camping event, so what usually happens is, you set up your tent Friday or when you get there. And camp all weekend. Everyone must be out of the campground by 12:00pm on Sunday April 25th. Order of Events: Usually goes like this, Friday: Sign in, Set-up tent, change into garb (which is required at Events), hang out and meet people, party at the pavilion the rest of the night. Saturday: Weapons check at the pavilion starting at 10:00am, hang out till fighting, when they announce to go to the field, do so, After fighting, shower and hang out for the party again at the pavilion. Sunday: wake up early, clean up any mess, take down your tent and pack up to leave the campground by 12:00pm. As far as being a noob, you can do anything that anyone else is allowed to do. there are no restrictions based on how long you have been in Dagorhir. As far as i know, you do not have to be a member of any Realm to come, but its nice to get to know some people and maybe you can camp with them instead of by yourself. And also, each person is responsible for their own food and drinks. So bring a cooler and what ever food you want. Alchohol is permitted anytime, but not when on the field. You can get a hold of me if you want to ask some more questions or anything. I know about events and what you are going to need. my contact information is below. AIM - izadsunrifter Cell Phone - 724-549-4021 (i wont have my cell phone back until tomorrow, Saturday the 3rd) But after that feel free to call or text me. Email - izadsunrifter@yahoo.com I hope that answered your questions. It would be good to meet you at Gates. Just look for our camp.
