I'm planning on going to Valinor as well. Right now it looks like I'll be driving the Indiana people that are going, unless we have too many for my car. Everyone from Indiana please let me know if you're still going.

So we need to confirmation from Cyrus, Rynnt, Vors, Avarice and Nova. Please reply whether you still are or are not going. So we can keep the list updated. And i would also like to keep the Valinor guys updated as well.

Rynnt, i just got done talking to you on Facebook so you dont have to post that you still want to go. unless your plans change and you cant go, then let us know on here.

I have talked to a couple people that have not posted. And it seems there are a few people that want to go to Valinor but have not posted because they dont know what to do about a ride.

Well thats what we are trying to figure out. We have a couple cars going right now and we cant fit people in if we dont know they want to go. Granted there are only a certain number of seats but if enough people showed interest maybe another available driver would offer to drive a 3rd car.

My point is, we dont know that you guys want to go unless you say something. Sure if you do speak up and there isnt enough room, we wont be able to get you there. But you wont know unless you try. You dont know if there was a 3rd person going to drive but then didnt because there was noone else to take and didnt want to ride by themselves.

This wasnt aimed at any one person but at our realm as a whole. But its how i feel about Maeth so im keeping it there.
One thing i hate about this realm a lot is that there are so many of us that go out to practice and then when it comes to events and traveling to other realms to meet people, nobody goes. I think that is a lot of the reason that other realms dont respect us and think they can just run right over us at events. Cause we have maybe 7 or so people show up to a National event. When there is way more than 7 of us in the realm. Nobody works as a team like we should and everyone is quick to hit someone in the back. Sorry i rambled on and on.

most of our people dont even come out to practice. i know work is the issue for some people, but really, whatever happened to "we dont care that its cold, we love dag"?
personally, i think that if people dont go to practices, they shouldnt go to events because it reflects poorly on the rest of us. we get no respect as a realm in terms of skill because we are a realm full of people who never try to get better.

I would love to go but sundays are rapidly turning into the day where I dump all the things I didn't get to during the week. I'm not sure I can spare the time for the ride to and from. That and I need to rebuild the glaive or work on the spear that I am planning before I start feeling all epic fighter.

Personally, my life is more important than Dagorhir, I'm not going to be 40 and clinging onto Dag during a midlife crisis, sorry to the people that snub that, they can go fuck themselves. Its something to do for fun when I have time, who cares about skill and respect, its not about that for a lot of people in our realm which may be unique among local realms I suppose but if anyone TRULY had a problem with that then they are an elitist asshole. Have fun, don't sweat the opinions of others.

you do make a good point that some people only come out when they want to have fun. but its not about being an elitist asshole, its about not liking being told that our whole realm sucks and to be the butt of everyone's jokes. it ceases to be fun when no one respects you in the same game. its like being known as the team who hasnt won a game in 30 years

We're the Clippers of Dagorhir!? OMG! I still don't care, we're not big enough to compete, we have a huge turn around rate being based in a college town (which lends itself to more casual attendance and less involvement), its just not going to happen man, be happy with what we have (the group of 6-10 people that keep it all together) is the best I can say.

I agree with Cyrus about the whole college thing. The only reason I can afford to do dag is because I treat my entire income as disposable. If I had the time and mobility to go with my money I would be trekking all over to build my skill base but I don't. Maeth has problems with organization and longevity that Chapters in the cities don't have because of being based in a college. Maethodoron is the San Marino of Dag. We aren't a power house nor do we have the logistics to be a power house. We should accept it and just have fun. Those of us that want to make names for ourselves in the wider dag world are going to have to do it on our own.
