Day after Peasants Revolt in Drentha
Naturally we'll do our typical Open Melee and Zombie.
what other battles do we want to do?
Bridge, Monarch, Kill the King, Holy Point, Wickerman, etc?
If anyone has one of those giant water coolers we can provide water
Do we wanna do anything about food or a party afterwards?
Anythign else we need to discuss?

well i told angaron i would let them know the date, so as soon as everyone says that this is going to be the date, i can post it on their boards. so what does everyone think for September 5th?

i think in general it has always been first weekend after iup gets in session which will be the 5th

If I recall correctly Maeth owns a water cooler of it's own. And yes, we're thinking Sept 5.
Elections are coming up so we will be using the welcome back event as a passing of the torch sort of deal.

we have any ideas for battles? i think alot of Haze's battles that we ran at Warsong are simple yet fun enough to explain easily and have everyone enjoy it. and of course we strongly encourage all our veterans to be out in garb. I know if I dont consider any of my unit to be adequately garbed, they wont be taking the field, as per unit by-laws (this includes paint for those who are of a non squishie race)

i think we are gonna have to think about loaner weapons for this. or else everyone interested is just gonna be standing around watching. then it will just be like, 4 or 5 of us. I am willing to donate my 2 black bladed blue swords. so there is 2 right there.

even if everyone out there has at least 1 blue things should still be fun for new people. we'll just express that people who have more weapons buy or build theirs and that we can help them get their own weapons either way. we need to try to restock the "loaner gear" even if its all just swords and a few clubs. with the weapon tech we have now we can pump out a decent armory pretty cheaply then we just maintain them through the years. if i have leftover materials from a weapons order i got, i'll try to make a few for the bag

I bought 2 cases of bottled water for this event. So i have 48 bottles. We can use Haze's cooler and i already got 3 bags of ice. So if anyone else wants to bring more water or ice, feel free.

pretty good. didnt get the crazy numbers like last year. a few noobs, most of which said theyd want to try it again.
