This is an event that I suggest everyone go to that is able. There will be some of the best fighters teaching all different kinds of fighting styles. It will be held at the Ragnarok site and is very worth it. (I accidentally deleted nova's post, oops)

As of right now, they can't even decide on a date. and, the site may not be feasible either.
Besides, all of the dates that they picked are right around the Kingdom of Aethelmearc's War Practice. I tend to not miss that if I can help it.

They've picked a date, it will be held on the 29th, and they are setting up a pre-reg. If your prefer a different event thought that's not a big deal, I won't be terribly upset, wow, we're getting to the point where we can be picky about our events! Kinda cool.

I've been going to Aethelmearc's War Practice years before I ever started Dag. It's kind of like a Pennsic warm up event. I suspect Kenjin and Akaragano will also be attending if they are able.

Okays, so not there will not only be classes about fighting, battle field awareness, footwork etc, there are also rumors of classes on armor and foam smithing, Sewing as well.

ok. this event is coming up FAST. who all is planning to attend? if i am to go i'll need a ride for which of course there will be gas money. alot of our fighters will be back home, and many of those live near Philly so i know that Taurendor will help get people there. i think it will be a good replacement for those of us who can't afford the price or time of Ragnarok and its a GREAT way for us to all improve and further strengthen our bonds with other realms.

According to magnus the garb requirements are going to be a little less intense at this event too, because it is a learning event to teach newer people who don't have garb, that doesn't mean you don't need it, if any veterans are going it would be nice for them to wear some good garb to inspire the n00bs. Garb is going to be more enforced when the fighting is going on (to make any instructional videos made look better for recruitment) but at night pajama pants are probably going to end up being the norm, it'll be hot anyway, so pack appropriately, anyone who IS going.

Since Gates of Fire went well for me (I sold almost everything), I plan on vending at this. I may not be able to give anyone a ride, though, since I can only take one car and have to pack camping gear AND a store.
