if a vote for the new admins really matters to anyone, let us know and we can put it to a vote. its nothing difficult or time consuming so just tell us you want one and we can do it at a practice or something. mass emails get really annoying really fast (Facebook) but one that sumarizes the important events every 2 weeks or so would be helpful. i'd be more than willing to type one up every so often, and have one of our admins mass email one concise document about the posts that actually get us somewhere.

No, we aren't putting things to a vote at this point. Too many projects have been started to try to shift gears already. But yes, mass announcements are a fantastic idea and we'll keep them concise and short.
Is this thread quite finished?

Alright, so let's sum up what we've talked about. (long post but just trying to get everything together)
I feel there really are no better people than Nova and Lucius to fill the two positions with as much determination that they have shown. Also, with as much as we have already begun planning changing gears now would be detrimental to everything planned.
Weekly updates will be done at practices including any announcements that are relevant as well as a probably monthly newsletter/announcement of sorts to be concise and keep everyone involved.
If you want something more instant you can do the twitter thing by using Maethodoron's twitter as device update. The Sunday messages will now come over twitter once I get it running and set up on my phone without everyone getting my personal updates also sent to the Maeth twitter.
To refer to past newsletters we'll make a closed announcement board that will be the "newsletter board" where people can read all relevant announcements and keep the thread on topic.
Newsletter will be sent as plain text right now to keep things smooth and efficient. Vors, we may take you up on that offer to do summary's I'll keep you updated.
I know people have scattered internet access, and I am sorry about that, I spend most of my days in a coffee house to be able to keep in touch with people. However, some things are time sensitive that we just won't be able to wait through a week or two before something gets done and maybe someone gets a job to do.
Side note:
Anyone can always come forward to propose doing things, we had an "officer" meeting a long time ago but when we talked about the "offices" no one ever wanted to do anything so that idea kind of went by the wayside. Perhaps we'll be revamping those positions and breathing life into the ones people would like to do! It is definitely a way to get more people involved and allows Nova, Lucius and I to delegate down so we can focus on the stuff we are supposed to do... Brainstorming, signing papers, and saying "if you want to do it sure/maybe not."
I'd like everyone to just take a deep breath for a bit and hold off on crazy comments and everything. We're moving through a revamp of the whole Maeth "system" and trying to get things to run more smoothly. Obviously it's going to be bumpy, but we'd like as much support as we can get while we are still talking about how things can best be handled.
To answer a possibly unspoken question: No one admin position has any more power than the other, we've all agreed that the best way to make decisions is to all agree on something instead of doing a 2v1 vote. This makes sure no one can gang up on anyone and no one person has a "head" position.
And we are going to try to include as many people as possible in every decision, we'll try using a voting process, but that will be done nearly exclusively online and over the duration of one practice weekend each. This will keep things moving quickly and reduce double votes (if that happens which i think it does). The voting thing has never really worked before for making decisions (not good not bad, it just never was able to make a decision). So we are going to run a more "focus group" type of voting. IE the best way to stay involved and get heard is actually going to be stay involved and in touch.
Lots of this is still up in the air, this is just something I'd like to see tweaked and fine tuned until we have something that runs efficiently.
Sorry about the long post, just thought being as transparent as possible here will help the most.

but yeah i see where you're going with all this. i personally believe that the more you come out to practice, the more likely you are to have a say in what gets done. if we wait for input of those not at practices and/or on the boards then nothing gets done in a timely manner
