Rock. I just got off the phone with Owen, the by laws are coming along, but real life set them back a day or two, we'll get them, hopefully before I go to Okfest, but either way, we'll get them. Let's do this shit, I'm pumped.

Ok I'm going to try to not add to the drama, but i need to say my peace about things then i will speak of it no more.
1. I am one of those people who were thinking about quiting cause i felt like everything was being decided by one person with no input from the realm as a whole. It pissed me off that Luci and Nova were just chosen. Now i do like you both and i think you both want our realm to prosper, but i have issues with you both that wont go into here cause no more drama need to be put out there.
2. This goes Directly to Luci, you said you wished we would talk to you about these things, but what is the point of talking to you if we believe nothing is going to change (ie. going back to the theory that it is percieved that we have no say)
3. Merc. our issues extend off the field (apparently) but in the past you have seemed to try and run this realm with almost and iron fist mentality, it seems like like only recently have you changed your tune(like people got sick and tired of it). Wanting peoples input i hope that this is a more permanant thing (giving you the benefit of the doubt on that).
4. Elections we need them just to make sure things are fair and no feels like this isn't their realm as well , but i agree with Kira and Izad i think i'd rather have over lapping duties and make sure things get done, and that way everything is not on one or two people to run everything ( this avoids the i did so much and no one appreacates me feeling). Head Herald should be a position. If people want to herald good. We need heralds when we fight to make sure its fair, and to let people know when they are doing something wrong. Head herald should be responsible for instructing new people to make sure they know the rules and how to fight so they don't hurt themselves or others. As well as to over see weapons check and make sure no unsafe weapons are let onto the field.

Thanks for replying here and putting stuff out in the open. You said you thought nothing was going to change. I'd like to think that having this discussion is proof that things are going to change.
As for positions, maybe once we get bylaws that people can agree on, we can vote on which positions we want, then we can vote on people to fill them. What's other peoples take on the order of doing things?

Hey guys I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here but look:
I think texting in our votes is a good idea, I also think email is another good way to go.
I agree as well that we should have an impartial person to count and tally votes. My vote on the matter is Glith if she is willing to do us this favor.
As for her knowing whose votes count, I think there should be a sign-up list where you put your name, your dag name, and either phone number or email depending on how you plan to vote.
Personally I think that only those who have been to at least 2 practices since the welcome back event should be allowed to vote (not saying this will happen but) that will keep anyone from bringing in tons of new people to sway the vote. Also then new people won't be left out.
I also think the postitions laid out were fine with a few alterations: Head Admin Vice Admin Event Supervisor Head Herald Book Keeper/Treasurer
Thats 5 seperate postions that have very clear jobs, with all the nessecary checks and balances between them. Look if you don't like my ideas thats fine but I have been on tons of councils and in tons of clubs so I know what I'm talking about.
Everything I'm saying is to better the realm, I love Maethodoron and I don't want to leave or see this realm crumble. I want Maethodoron to become one of the best realms in Dagorhir, and that's all I will ever want. I consider Maethodoron my home and it's members my family and I want the drama to stop so I can feel that way again.

Ok, the only positions that I think have been brought up are
Head Admin Vice Admin Head Herald Event Admin Bookkeeper(/Historian?)
There's the ballot of possible positions. We just have to vote on which one's we'll use. Someone with control of the boards officially state when voting starts, and we've already concluded that voting will be for a week with ballots sent to gilth via email (and/or text?). It's really not that difficult. We just need someone to say "go".
