I found a really sweet weapon idea, but i can't find a good picture of it anywhere. In the movie King Arthur (the newer one where Arthur is a Roman and his knights are Sarmatians), Sir Tristan has a really sick sword. The handle is slightly curved, the handguard is very oriental-looking, and the blade looks kind of like a "Sinbad" scimitar. I immediately thought of PVC for the core, but i don't think it would pass the flex rule. but i can't think of any other type of core that i could bend to make it look the way i want it to. can you bend fiberglass safely?

i dont have the materials to try bending fiberglass. if you want a slim sword then PVC is a bad choice because if you want it sturdy at all you need a little thickness to it so it doesnt snap, though it will be very weak at the bend depending on the degree. i want to run some experiments with some glues inside of pvc though to maybe strengthen it.
