Mercaine, Order of Tauren uses a wooden core, my shield hasn't broken or cracked yet, but dev did crack his, then again, people are more inclined to hit a big guy like him a bit harder.

Yeah OOT does a nice job on their shields. I enjoy my heater shield because of the plastic i don't have to worry about it break. But I would like a wooden round at some point. Eh, i'll eentually get to it.

I think my round shield has thicker wood (Giggle) but the heaters can't be more than 1/4" thick (ha ha, awww)

They can, I just don't remember how thick they are. I think they are about 1/4" or less.
